Monitrice
What is a Monitrice?
A Monitrice, is someone that is trained in labor support and as well as evaluation. This is where I can blend my Doula skills and my Midwifery skills!
This is for families that do not necessarily want a homebirth, but want to labor at home as long as possible safely before going to the hospital for the actual delivery. I can preform clinical tasks like monitoring blood pressure, fetal heart tones and cervical dilation to help give families information about where they are in labor and how baby is tolerating labor while they are in the comfort of their own home.
This is also great for VBAC families that want the comforts of laboring at home, knowing everything is going well, and then going to the hospital for the actual delivery with their OB provider.

Postpartum Only Midwife Care
This package is for families that want a hospital birth that would also like what the Midwifery Model of care has to offer for postpartum!
With Midwifery care, you get more than just a 6 week postpartum visit. You get a visit in the first days home from the hospital, about 1-2 weeks postpartum, 4 weeks postpartum and then a 6 week postpartum visit. During these visits, we closely monitor how you and baby are doing and offer extra support resources if you need them.
Examples of this include:
Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding support and evaluation
Referrals for Tongue/Lip Tie
IBCLC referrals if needed
Postpartum Mental Health Resources + Support
Monitoring of vitals for the postpartum client and baby.
Lab work as needed and monitoring for signs of preeclampsia and DVT’s postpartum
If you need a PAP we can also ofer that in the comfort of your own home at your 6 wk visit.
